A montage of cricket scenes finds its sharpest tension in the close fielders waiting around the stumps.

Cricket can tighten in an instant around the wicket. In this montage, one white-kit scene brings the batter, stumps and nearby fielders into the same frame: a fielder crouches with hands ready while the others close in.

That is the detail that gives the sequence its edge. The fielders are positioned to make every movement near the bat matter; the batter has little room to relax. Elsewhere, the montage cuts to play in coloured kits, but the same wicket-side contest remains its most legible thread.
