Ben Stokes: the pause with bat and helmet raised

SportLocation Cricket Desk · 14 Oct 2026

A montage labelled as Ben Stokes’ Test moments catches a batter raising his bat while holding his helmet.

Ben Stokes is shown with bat raised in one hand and helmet in the other: a brief acknowledgment amid a montage of cricket action.

That still moment sits against the clip’s other details: a fielder reaching towards a ball, a batter facing a delivery, and players gathered around the pitch. The montage moves between active play and the pause afterwards, when the bat and helmet remain in view.

There is no need to attach the gesture to a particular match to read what the frame shows. The bat is held aloft; the helmet stays in his other hand. Then the game’s working details take over again: a ball, a crease, fielders set around the pitch.
