Ben Stokes throws himself at the boundary

Ben Stokes goes full length near the rope, then turns straight back to the crowd after the effort.
Ben Stokes throws himself at the boundary and makes the fielding effort the whole story. The first beat is the read: he is already set in the outfield, watching the ball and shifting across the turf before launching himself into the air.
The second is the commitment. Stokes goes horizontal, one arm down to brace the landing, with the boundary boards and spectators right on top of the action. It is the sort of stop that asks for timing, balance and no hesitation at all.
Then comes the reset. He gets back to his feet and raises both arms to the crowd, a brief acknowledgement after a piece of fielding that is as much about recovery as it is about the dive itself.
