Jasprit Bumrah’s delivery, from approach to follow-through

SportLocation Cricket Desk · 18 Oct 2026

Jasprit Bumrah’s bowling action is shown in sequence, with the batter and pitch held in view.

Jasprit Bumrah’s bowling is the focus of this short passage of Test cricket. The view down the pitch keeps the batter in sight as Bumrah comes through his delivery and carries on into the follow-through.

That full sequence matters: the ball travels towards a batter already set at the crease, while the umpire stays behind the bowler’s end. A later delivery offers another look at the same basic contest, bowler against batter, without needing a result or a named match to give it shape.

The detail to watch is the line from Bumrah’s run-up into release. The batter’s position and the stumps frame the target; the follow-through completes the action.
