Rohit Sharma: the pause before the next ball

SportLocation Cricket Desk · 24 Sept 2026

Rohit Sharma is shown at the crease in blue kit, bat set across his body, with a ball close by.

Rohit Sharma’s batting here is defined by a brief pause: helmet on, bat across the body, stumps behind him and a ball lying near the crease. The frame holds the ingredients of a delivery without showing its outcome.

That restraint is the point. The batter is set to respond, not demonstrating a completed stroke. A later close-up of Sharma with his bat raised in an India shirt shifts the mood from the guarded crease to a posed, more open image. The footage offers both views, but no basis for assigning them to a particular match or date.
