George Russell and the line through a Formula 1 corner

SportLocation Formula 1 Desk · 26 Sept 2026

A car’s passage through a sweeping bend brings the shape of a Formula 1 racing line into view.

George Russell’s name may be attached to this footage, but its clearest detail is the corner: a Formula 1 car follows the curve past turquoise runoff and broad yellow track markings.

From the distant approach, the bend reads as a line to be carried through. As the car comes closer, the turn tightens in perspective; then it moves away along the same arc. The sequence makes the corner’s shape—not a dramatic incident—the focus.

That is a useful glimpse of circuit racing’s central negotiation: take the bend while keeping the car’s route flowing towards the next section of track. The car disappears down the curve, leaving the kerb and painted runoff to define the line it has just taken.
