Max Verstappen and the race car’s fleeting pass

A brightly coloured race car cuts through a floodlit circuit, briefly visible beyond the glass and fencing.

Max Verstappen’s name is supplied with this footage, but the brief glimpse does not identify the driver. What it does show is a brightly coloured race car darting along a floodlit circuit, framed by glass, barriers and fencing.

The car appears beneath an overhead bridge and is gone almost as quickly as it arrives. From this distant viewpoint, the trackside structures occupy more of the scene than the car itself; the brief pass is picked out by its colour and movement against the lit pavement.

It is a small, sharp moment of racing craft: a car moving down the track, then swallowed by the barriers and lights.
