Sebastian Vettel: from words to the cockpit
SportLocation Formula 1 Desk · 10 Oct 2026
Vettel speaks about working to make a difference, before the footage moves from helmet preparation to the restricted view from a Ferrari cockpit.
Sebastian Vettel puts the emphasis on effort. In an interview, Ferrari’s red-clad driver says, “We’re working very hard to try and make a difference as soon as we can.” The words are direct; the footage then moves from his interview to the practical business of getting into the car.
Vettel adjusts the chin area of his helmet, dark gloves in hand. Next comes an onboard view over the red car’s halo, with the track ahead framed by the cockpit. It is a reminder of the narrow visual world of Formula 1: the driver looks out through the helmet and around the car’s protective structure, with the road occupying the space beyond.
The sequence’s focus is that change of setting—from a spoken promise of work to the equipment and limited sightline of driving. The track sits just beyond the halo.
