Samson Dauda’s Dumbbell Curl, From Lift to Lowering

SportLocation Fitness Desk · 11 Oct 2026

A clear curl beside the rack gives way to a forward bend as the dumbbell is lowered.

Samson Dauda’s dumbbell curl is easy to read at its strongest point: the weight is held close to his torso, elbow bent, in front of a crowded gym rack.

The detail that shapes the sequence comes next. Rather than ending at the raised weight, the movement continues into a lowering phase; Dauda leans forward and brings the dumbbell down beside the rack. The change makes this more than a single held pose: the lift and its return are both part of the action.

The early position is the cleanest view of the exercise, with the dumbbell plainly visible. As the weight moves, blur softens the arm and equipment, but the curl remains identifiable. The clip ends with Dauda bent towards the floor, the weight no longer clearly in view.
