Justin Rose’s Short-Game Montage Has a Bigger Finish

Two chips lead a ranked Rose highlight reel, but the final entry is a 3-wood eagle.

Justin Rose’s ranked shot montage begins around the green. One entry is labelled a Travelers chip; another is a fifteen-foot chip at the RBC Canadian Open. Both put the focus on the delicate end of the game: choosing a landing spot and controlling how the ball releases towards the cup.

Then the list changes gear. Its top entry is labelled a 3-wood eagle at Pebble Beach, a reminder that the reel’s idea of a highlight extends beyond chip-ins. The contrast is the hook: touch from the fringe, followed by a much longer shot with a different route to the same reward.

It is a compact showcase of Rose’s scoring range, from the fringe to an eagle opportunity.
