Kylian Mbappe attacks the space in front of goal

SportLocation Football Desk · 15 Oct 2026

Kylian Mbappe drives at goal, with the goalkeeper stepping out to confront him and a defender chasing back.

Kylian Mbappe’s run is aimed straight at the space between the ball and the goalkeeper. He closes quickly, with a defender following, forcing the keeper to leave his line and meet the attack.

That direct route gives the goalkeeper little time to set himself. Mbappe continues beyond the goal area as the players gather by the net and spectators raise their arms. The sequence turns on the ground he makes before the keeper can close the gap.
