Luka Modrić’s applause before the microphone

Modrić applauds the spectators, then addresses them with a microphone in hand.

Luka Modrić begins with applause. In a white Real Madrid shirt, he walks along the pitch and turns his attention to the spectators before taking a microphone.

The order gives the moment its shape: first the raised hands, then the address. A stadium ribbon carries messages of thanks in Croatian and Spanish, while Modrić stands in his captain’s armband before the packed stands.

Later, he is shown beside an adult and children near the touchline. The sequence stays close to a simple sporting gesture: acknowledge the crowd, then take the microphone and speak.
